[Wild NL Pony Corral]
approaching the corral you see a crowd of people eagerly waiting for the first wild pony to be brought out, some of them are practicing twirling their lassos or showing off..
[May 2020 Roundup]
This month there are 4 wild NL ponies ready to be roped in and trained up!
they're a pretty wound up bunch right now so we won't be able to tell genders til we get a little closer!
[Lasso Options]
You have two kinds of lasso to choose from, but you may only throw one lasso every 24 hours, and once you win a pony you can't throw any more! Lasso % rate adjusted for May >->
Large lassos have a better chance of netting you a wild pony, but at random. Tight lassos have less success but will win you your pick of the bunch!
[How to Play]
You can post daily with your choice of lasso until the ponies are claimed. If you're using a tight lasso please include which pony you are aiming for!
A simple "becki throws a tight lasso at the grey dapple!" entry is fine, but please bold your lasso choice, and you can add a little flair/RP snippet to your entry if you like for fun! C:

Saturn is back and ready for action. Sort of. She's not sure her montage-trained skills from last month will hold up, but it's worth a shot!
When her turn is called, she steps up and uses the Large Lasso!

Aldair adjusts his boots before stepping into the corral. Noticing the horses moving around eyeing him back, he picks up the Large Lasso from nearby. Steadying his breath while he readies the lasso, he approaches. When he eyes an opportunity he lets the lasso fly!

Danica hefts the large lasso dubiously.
"Well, here goes nothing," she says quietly to herself. She launches the rope into the air, hoping she's aimed it well enough to snag a pony.

It was her first time in the corral. She missed her chance the first time, but now, Amaxes was going to catch a horse herself. She twirled the large lasso above her head before releasing it into the small herd.

saturnaliaWell I guess swinging a lasso is not like riding a bike, and that rocky montage was only a temporary fix Try again tomorrow! LavvyAldair's technique was good, but these horses were wary and fast! The rope just narrowly missed a pony, which bucked with annoyance. Try again tomorrow! SeaCrestAnd that's exactly what Danica got! Nothing Try again tomorrow! roswellDetermination is half the battle! But sadly the other half is aim and luck, which you didn't have this time Try again tomorrow!

Stevie's been thinking of adding some new babies to her horse collection so when she heard about new wild ponies she took her lucky large lasso and went straight there. All the ponies were beautiful so she just threw the lasso and crossed her fingers for luck.

Jamie had only seen lassos in old westerns her grandmother would watch on television. She watched as several others choose their lasso and the wild ponies in an attempt to bring home new partners. It can't be that hard. She mused. The thought dissipated as she took up a large lasso. "ooaf" She stumbled forward a bit before adjusting her balance to the weight. If nothing else were to come of this, Jamie knew, she would need to build up her strength. With a breath, she tried to mimic the film cowboys and rope one up.

Saturn goes home and trains more. There is another very dramatic training montage with more Eye of the Tiger playing in the background. She comes back the next day, wondering if the practicing will pay off, and throws a large lasso!

It's Lottie's turn today, and while she's pretty confident in her aim, she's never really practiced with a large lasso before. She sets her feet, twirls her lasso, and throws—crossing her toes, since her hands are occupied!

Tea watched the others take their shot at lassoing from afar, trying to glean some hint at good techniques. When it was her turn, Tea twirled the large lasso above her head and yeeted it over at the last two ponies.

@tea The yeet was two strong and the rope spun high over one of the pony's manes, startling it into a gallop! Try again tomorrow! stevieAlas, the lasso caught on part of the corral fence and didn't reach a pony, try again tomorrow!
