Stevie took her basket and headed outside to the field. Last time she really enjoyed being outside and allowed herself to clean her mind. This time she hoped to find some interesting plants and possibly herbs to take home - she could really use some for her sore throat.

Feef was glad that she didn't have any allergies because boy was there a lot of pollen in the air today. She supposed that was to be expected in the middle of spring, though. If anything, it meant that they'd just get more flowers next year!

Avery sneezed repeatedly, rubbing her nose miserably during a respite. She was only allergic to one specific tree pollen, and usually it wasn't bad, but it just so happened that today the conditions were just right for the tree to release most of its pollen in the air.
Addie pranced to keep her in the saddle as a particularly violent sneeze rocked Avery. Maybe she should just go home and send Lottie to check the fences?

The journal is reasonably full of plant sketches and info, and some plants that are still totally unfamiliar to Saturn. She'll have to ask someone native to the area about them, at some point. For today, though, she'll keep the notebook with her in case she spots anything new, but mostly she just wants to go for a nice walk around the area. And it should be quieter today!

Danica squinted through the rain, hat dripping, hair dripping, coat dripping, as she and Faith slogged through the mud trying to find Avery's wallet. She'd dropped it that morning somewhere, and now all of them were out in the rain looking for it; it contained very important information, although with the rain as it was, the papers were probably a soggy mess by now. Still, Avery's money and bank card were in there too, and the card was plastic.

The day had, thankfully, dawned bright and sunny, although the ground was still wet from yesterday's rain. They'd found Avery's wallet in the mud the day before, and now she had left it securely in her office while she and Arianwen rode out to check on the saplings to make sure the heavy rain hadn't flooded the area.

Maybe today will be a better day for it, Saturn thinks as she treks out to the field once again. Today, her goal is to make a note of any of the edible plants she comes across. Well, the ones she recognizes, at least! It can be useful to know what's around, in any case. And maybe she'll see something cool along the way!

The air was fresh and the grass was tall today. Feef found herself looking more at the rocks under her feet as opposed to the wide open plains, however. There were so many, in all sorts of colors, making the ground around the grass just as interesting as the rest of the environment. She really should pay more attention to where she's going, though...

It was nice to go out for a picnic, Avery decided, as she, Lottie, and Danica laid out a picnic blanket. The ponies grazed peacefully nearby as the girls shucked their boots and sat down, opening a basket laden with goodies and two large bottles of homemade lemonade—and a small jar of extra sugar, since Avery and Lottie preferred their lemonade extremely tart, while Danica preferred hers a little sweeter.

A bunny came to keep her company. How sweet! Tea gave the little one a few pets before getting back to her task. The bunny decided to help and led her to a patch of tiny white flowers. She dug up a clump of them and stood back up. Looking down at her new friend, she asked, "You coming, bunny boy?"

When Saturn comes out to the field on this day, the little ginger tabby she'd found while hunting for eggs and such accompanies her. While the cat might potentially scare off some of what she could find there, who knows! The little friend might help Saturn spot something cool. And, anyway, the company is nice!

Lottie rubbed her temples, looking down in dismay at the mess. Something had dug up half of the saplings, and damaged several others through blunt force trauma. The poor saplings looked very bedraggled. Candor sniffed at one, making to take a nibble, and Lottie clicked her tongue at him.
"Leave them be, Candor, they've suffered enough. We'd better see what we can do, and then head back and let Avery know. She'll be so upset," she added with a sigh.

Once again, the little ginger tabbycat accompanied Saturn on her trek out to the field. "I really need to come up with a name for you, don't I? It definitely seems like you'll be sticking around!" The pair made their way to a fluffy patch of grass to enjoy some snacks. A granola bar for Saturn, and some dried fish bits for the cat.
